Teen Advisory Panel
The next Teen Advisory Panel workshops are in Autumn 2024.
The Teen Advisory Panel in BEaTS is a group of teens aged 11-17 who share their views and knowledge about what research is needed to understand the experience of adolescence, as well as what research is needed to support positive development and opportunities for adolescents themselves.
The Advisory Panel share their views in workshops, and panel members receive training and support to enable them to participate comfortably and confidently.
Teen members have the opportunity to join research projects as a research intern, and to contribute to the development of communication materials, such as blogs, to share research and information with other adolescents, however it isn't necessary, it's only if the person is interested.
The Panel meets approximately 3 times per year, but it's up to the teen how many sessions they want to attend. Usually the meetings are clustered across a 4-6 week period. People who attend workshops are compensated for their time.
