Coming in September 2021

This interactive workshop is designed for young people aged 10-11 years.

During the workshop, we will describe what happens in your brain and the rest of your body during sleep, why some people are early birds, and some people are night owls, and why teens may have 'social jet-lag' - as well as what to do about it!

The workshop is interactive, but we will never ask people to share their experiences.  Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend and observe.

The workshop will be led by Samantha Dockray, who has expertise in the biology and behaviour of teenage sleep, and is co-delivered by members of the BEATS research team.

Coming in September 2021

This interactive workshop is designed for young people aged 12-13 years. During the workshop, Samantha will explain why some people experience more stress than others, and show the group what happens in our brain and the rest of our body when we feel stressed.  During the workshop, teens will hear about the research on how to manage their stress - and why stress may actually be a good thing!

The workshop is interactive, but we will never ask people to share their experiences.  Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend and observe.

The workshop will be led by Samantha Dockray, who has 20 years of experience in studying teenage stress, and co-delivered by members of the BEATS research team.
