'The mediating role of self-concept in the relationship between childhood adversity and psychopathology'
Czara's research project will be using Growing Up in Ireland data to investigate the buffering effect of different self-concept domains on the relationship between childhood adversity and psychopathology outcomes (internalising and externalising behaviours as well as pro-social behaviour). It is hoped that this will help identify appropriate targets for child-focused interventions.
